But after shooting a selfie on your iPhone, you could find that the image that was stored in the Photos app isn’t precisely what you saw. Additionally, you might not even like the outcome in many instances.
You may correct this by turning on a setting that guarantees the selfies don’t appear flipped and seem exactly as they do in the camera’s viewfinder.
How to Mirror Yourself in an iPhone Selfie
From the moment you receive a new iPhone, you should turn on picture mirroring. It comes as no surprise that you must activate it in order to use your iPhone’s camera properly. To prevent automatic mirroring, flipping, or turning around of iPhone selfies after shooting, follow these steps:
- Tap Camera in the Settings app after opening it.
- On iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and later models, turn on the Mirror Front Camera or Mirror Front Photos switch, respectively.
- To capture mirror selfies, open the Camera app and switch to the front camera.
You can prevent your iPhone from flipping selfies after you snap them by turning on the Mirror Front Camera feature. You’ll see that the right and left sides of your selfies remain where they were in the viewfinder, respectively.
Please be aware that this option is applicable to all front-facing camera images and videos taken with an iPhone XS, XR, or later. It only applies to images on the iPhone 6S up to the iPhone X, though. Videos will keep flipping.
On older devices, you must manually mirror selfies
Only iPhones running iOS 14 or later support mirror selfies. Therefore, you will need to manually flip the photographs if you have an older iPhone that isn’t compatible with iOS 14. Using the editing features in Apple’s Photos app or other third-party applications, you can achieve this quickly.
